What's a Canadian doing in North Carolina?

Yep, we're goin' to a hockey game!
"Oh, the good old hockey game, is the best game you can name
And the best game you can name, is the good old hockey game"

There's a group down here in NC called CanSouth, and they've arranged a day out at the Charlotte Checkers game on Sunday March 11th. The Raleigh chapter often goes to Hurricanes' games, but its just too far for us to get to, with a 4 hour drive each way!

Charlotte Checkers is a farm team, and only an hour and a half way. It should be a fun day out. James has never seen a game, pro or amature, except on TV, so it'll be interesting to see how he enjoys it. Plus, there's a tailgater beforehand for the group to all meet up have some munchies and get our tickets all sorted out.

This will be something to look forward to. The last few weeks, and today in particular, at work have been absolute hell. I'm actively looking for another job, and it can't be too soon I tell ya! This one will have me right round the bend in no time, and I'm just too freakin' old to put up with this shit anymore.

Maybe I'll find something with some decent salary and who treat their employees fairly.

*snort*

I'm not holding my breath. :-p

It just seems strange y'all are talking about going to a hockey game when all I got excited about today is the Grapefruit League started today. toronto met Boston in Dunedin. Haven't heard the score. All the Toronto radio stations are talking about is the snow storm I'm in the middle of.
took just short of three hours to get home.
Chrissy just called from the car. She's at Warden and Dennison. She got in her car at 3:30. it's just gone 6:00. She's trying to get to the 407. I didn't have the heart to tell her that it's not moving much faster than the 401. At least she'll get her moneys worth.
They bill by the kilometre, not the time you're on it. :)

Have fun at the hockey game.
Sorry this job hasn't worked out as you'd hoped. This one is better than the last one, which was better than the first one.
You are moving forward.

Love you, hug the Pirate, scritch the pups.

James does not tollerate baseball well. And I lost interest about a decade ago really.

I wouldn't mind catching a local game sometime in Hickory, but it'd have to be an early season game. They don't have a roof on their stadium to guard against the summer sun. ;-)
