What's a Canadian doing in North Carolina?

  Boston Legal
Do the writers of Boston Legal read my blog? Remember my post a little while ago about the most hated and sickly sweet high fructose corn syrup? Well, the other night on Boston Legal, Candace Bergen’s character Shirley was in court, going on about it, and how it is thought to be contributing to the obesity of American’s and contributing to the rise in diabetes. Here’s my old post about HFCS. I thought it was rather amusing. Perhaps the writers also read message boards, because the subject of HFCS has come up quite often on an immigration message board I frequent call Visa Journey.

Wouldn’t it be funny if My wittle ol’ blog is influencing TV dramedy writers? *snarf* William Shatner changed the world my foot! I change Television! Mwahahahahahaha!

Actually, its probably just coincidence….or maybe Bill Shatner was trying to figure out how he got so fluffy and because he’s Canadian he reads labels too? ;-)

On to other things…like Scotland! We’re leaving today, and at the moment I’m sitting here typing while waiting to rinse the hair dye. We’ve been so crazed around here the past couple of weeks I kept forgetting to buy some dye whenever I was out, and only just got it last night. But then I had to work, and got home just in time for Lost and Invasion. I must say I did not see that coming! What happened on Lost I mean. Threw me for a bit of a loop. I don’t to spoil it for anyone, in case you didn’t catch it and have it taped or TiVo’d (I need a TiVo).

Anyhow, we’re all packed and ready to go, except my hair. And we need dog food to take to the K9 Cabins. George and Bruno know something is going on, the last time we got all packed up we were in the car for an entire week traipsing around the country. Not this time though, they get to go to the resort! They loved it there last time, hopefully they will again.

While we’re in Scotland we’ll be meeting up with an internet friend who occasions our LoTR message board. She’s originally from NC, but moved to Scotland quite some time ago. Her muse is there I guess she’s a writer. People have found muses in stranger places ;-) But that’s not why we want to meet her. We want to meet her because I figure she’s a long lost cousin, because we are so alike. Or so it would seem by how we’ve come to know each other on-line. Family is family, and who knows, perhaps we are related somewhere along the line. It’s a small world. Even if we’re not, its just too weird how much alike we seem to be, so she will have to continue with the moniker “cousin” :-)

Well, I think I must go rinse my head now and get dressed!

TTFN, and watch this space for pictures from Scotland. You have my permission to live vicariously through me! *snarf*

Have a wonderful trip, Reba!!

I hope you have an AWESOME trip! Some of the best things I did in Scotland were:

- climb the Wallace Monument - Edinburgh
- went shopping in Princess Square - Glasgow
- bought Celtic jewellery - everywhere I could!
- went to Callandar and bought a really cool shawl

Now here are the things I wish I did:

- buy a lifetime supply of tablet - please get me some! :-D
- buy more Celtic jewellery - I am looking for a spiral-like thing with an upside-down triangle...
- run around a hillside in a crushed-velvet green cloak

And the single most important thing I wish I bought in Scotland:

a leaf headdress I found in a wedding shop...how cool is that!

Have a great trip!

:-)
